What the hell happened to me blogging? Miss me?

I have an iPhone now so that means I can be better at it. Right?

I don’t understand her. And most of all, I don’t understand her appeal. I get the same frustrated, “What the Hell?” feelings about her as I did in 2008 with Sarah Palin. I can respect when political opinions differ [most of the time..] but, it drives me over the edge when someone who isn’t even qualified to run, runs. And is taken seriously. Amazed.

And then… you see something like this, and I am in shock to where the Republican party is going.

I want to do these! As soon as I saw them this morning I think I caught the crafty bug, and decided to buy some.. and then go buy some fake pumpkins, and oh my goodness it’s Fall. Which is my absolute favorite.

Too bad I’m sick today, and plan on resting the sick away… and won’t get to the craft store today. Does Hobby Lobby deliver?

Also – this guy was on My Father, The Hero. I loved that movie!

It’s been awhile since I have updated about my 30 By Thirty list, but this Summer I have accomplished one of my goals! I grew a garden, and it’s actually a success, a few things didn’t work out [cough: Cucumbers], but I will try them again next year!

I do have to say, I had an earwig problem a few weeks ago, and my uncle, Cory, “the Bug man” came and fixed it for me. He’s pretty awesome like that. It was a pretty traumatizing experience, I had a ripe tomato, got excited to wash it off and eat it. I washed it, and then realized that an EARWIG was poking it’s head out of the tomato staring me! I screamed, dropped the tomato on the counter and about died. Ewwwwww. I texted Cory how I could fix it, and he was over the next day. Yay!

And, like the Typical Gardener, I want to make the garden bigger next year, include cilantro, squash [pumpkins?!]. Sometimes, I really do have an addictive personality.

Another reason I am excited for Fall TV…

It’s no doubt that I’m not President, but if I were, here’s a few things I would do. 

If I were President.. I would drop Joe Biden, and put Hilary Clinton on the ticket. It would shake things up, she’d be a “new” but familiar face brought to the negotiating table with Congress. And, I really think she’d help boost up the Liberal base. [i.e.: me]

If I were President… I’d find a way to sink money into a new trans-continental rail system. The United States is falling so far behind the rest of the Western world as far as transportation opportunities. This would help us look like the 21st century, the media keeps mentioning Eisenhower, let’s do what he did with building up the Interstates, but with high-speed rail, and subway systems. How awesome would it be to take a super quick trip from San Diego to Seattle?

If I were President… I’d also bring in Bill Clinton as an Economic adviser. He did something phenomenally right in the 90s, we all miss the surpluses of the Clinton administration.

If I were President… I’d pass a new stimulus. A stimulus that would go over a five-year span, include student loans, and grants for private businesses to explore new technology. New technology for transportation systems, new technology for worldwide agricultural research [that would carry the goal to prevent things like the current Somalian crises], as well as tax breaks for those companies that bring their manufacturing plants back to the United States. ~ This would have to be budget neutral though. We can’t spend money we don’t have, millionaires would need to have their taxes increased. The GOP wants to continuously call them “job creators”, I say prove it. If you are really creating jobs, then you can be eligible for a tax break. But there needs to be evidence, not rhetoric.

I’m sure I could keep going… but this is all for today. If you were President, what would you do?

I’m excited for Fall TV! I’m usually excited for Fall TV.. it’s so full of possibility, and potential -and yet, many many pilots crash and burn.. {BUT} maybe that’s part of what I like. {DEFINITELY} I’m excited for this show though, New Girl,  it looks funny! And I love Zooey {EVEN IF SHE SPELLS HER NAME WEIRD… } Deschanel.
